Virtual Yoga and Pilates Classes for Southern ON
Soldier On in collaboration with PSP Borden will be holding virtual Yoga and Pilates classes once a week on Thursdays April 21 to May 26. This activity will bring together both serving and retired ill/injured CAF members, allowing participants to connect through peer support and encourage a healthy and active lifestyle.
This virtual event will serve as an introduction to Yoga and Pilates with each day/class focusing on one discipline. PSP Yoga and Pilates instructors will lead participants through classes. Classes will all be live and interactive giving the instructors and participants the ability to communicate in real time.
- 7:55 a.m. – Log into the Zoom meeting;
- Once logged on participants will receive a welcome brief and an intro to the day’s activities, participants will then follow along with the class; and
- 8:55 a.m. – Log off
The number of Soldier On participants is limited to 10.
Minimum eligibility criteria
Any serving member or veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) from the Soldier On region of Southern Ontario who acquired a permanent physical or mental health illness or injury while enrolled as a member of the CAF; whether attributable or not to service.
Serving Members
Medical clearance may be required by your chain of command.
Mental & Physical Requirements
Participants must be able to tolerate one hour of light/moderate-paced activities for each session. Participants will be joined with other ill/injured members and PSP Instructors, and therefore should be able to function in a virtual social environment.
